NEW YEAR OF IDEAS
I was trying to declutter my home
and had to dig out my subscription renewal envelope after
reading January's magazine. The organization articles were
helpful, and I love your concept of the
“Lose Weight, Gain
Health
series for this year.

I JUST READ
“7 Tips for Beating
Clutter Forever,” in your January
issue. Hooray, I am not alone! I
have a never-ending paper trail
at my home. As a wife, mother,
and working woman (a teacher),
I don’t have much time on my
hands. But I love to keep a neat
and organized home.

WHEN I RECEIVED
the January
issue, I was inspired to get my
home organized. I started with
my linen closet, using the ideas
from
p a g e 15
( “Come to Order”).
It only took me about an hour. I
began working on my pantry last
night—I think the labels will help
my family keep things in order.
Now on to the next project.
Thanks very much for helping
me get control.
Christy Bailey, AL
I HAVE TO THANK YOU for an
awesome December 2008 issue.
I was so busy with the holidays
that I nearly passed up reading it.
I always cut pictures and articles
out and glue them into a notebook.
This issue I felt I had something
noteworthy on every page. The
magazine looked like a grade-
school snowflake by the time I
was done.

ERIC LISKEY’S ARTICLE
“Living
Jewels” and the photos of begonias
in the January issue brightened a
gray Missouri day. As a 30-year
member of the American Begonia
Society, I suspect your readers
might want to explore the ABS
Web site, at
begonias.org,
for more
inspiring photos and how-to-grow
information.

I LIKE THE VARIETY
of issues you
address each month. The format
is very readable. I’m eager to curl
up in a comfy spot with a cup of
tea and page through the magazine
as soon as it arrives. You maintain
a good balance between environ-
ment, family, food, gardens, health,
decor, and even feel-good foods
and fun. The photography is
outstanding. I read the magazine
from front to back, not wanting to
miss anything. Thanks for the
lovely respite from busy days!

magazine reader
since my early teens, and

was always in
our house. I love the realistic
solutions to everyday problems
and the realistic budgets. My
favorite section has to be Stephen
Saint-Onge’s makeovers. He stays
within a reasonable budget and
uses the clients’ existing furniture
when he can. His color choices
bring life into every room he
does. Keep featuring this talented
designer!

YOUR STORY ON DIABETES in the
Healthy You section in November
2008 has a photo on
p a g e 258
of
two people bicycling without
wearing helmets. Bicycling is a
wonderful activity, but one of the
healthiest things a cyclist can do
is wear an approved safety helmet.
Many towns, cities, and even
states require the use of helmets.

We’d Iove to know.
